Learn to Ride

A welcoming first step towards confidence, independence, and fun on two wheels

Every rider starts somewhere. Our Learn to Ride activities introduce children to bicycle safety, balance, and basic riding skills in a supportive setting.

We offer standalone Learn to Ride sessions as well as incorporate these skills into our summer camps, beginner leagues, and recreational community group rides.

Whether your child is getting started or building confidence, we help them take the next step at their own pace. Contact us to find the right starting point for your child.

ENJOY

Community Group Rides

Ride together. Make connections. Enjoy the journey.

Our recreational community group rides bring children, families, and volunteers together to enjoy cycling and connect with others.

These rides focus on participation, encouragement, and having fun. We incorporate Learn to Ride support to help new riders build skills and confidence along the way.

Contact us to learn about upcoming rides and find an opportunity that fits your family’s riding experience.

COMPETE

BMX Race Prep

Build skills, gain confidence, and get ready for your first BMX race.

Curious about BMX racing? We help young riders and their families take the first step - no racing experience required.

Through track visits, practice, and guidance, riders become familiar with the track, develop their skills, and learn what to expect on race day. Our focus is on encouragement, personal progress, and enjoying the experience.

Contact us to discuss your child’s experience and the support they need to get started.

MAINTAIN

Bike Care & Maintenance

Learn practical skills, build confidence, and keep your bike ready to ride.

Learning to care for a bicycle builds practical skills, confidence and independence. Through our camps, young riders learn basic bike maintenance and safety checks to help keep their bikes ready to ride.

Our active repair van initiative brings bicycle repair support into the community, helping address maintenance needs that can keep people from riding.

Contact us to learn about bike care activities at our next camp, or what neighborhood our van will be set up at next.

Summer Camps

Our Pedal to the Mental™ summer camps give children a place to get outdoors, make friends, and feel they belong. Through cycling and shared experiences, we create opportunities for kids to build confidence, discover what they’re capable of, and connect with people who encourage them.

Offered with The City of Auburn, Auburn Parks & Recreation and the City of Buckley, our camps reflect our commitment to youth mental health by making room for movement, connection, and the joy of being a kid. Whether taking their first pedal strokes or trying a new challenge, every child has opportunities to learn at their own pace and celebrate progress. Riding skills, bicycle safety, and basic maintenance are part of that experience.

Contact us for upcoming camps dates, locations, and registration details.

Summer Ride

Total Summer Attendance

Inclusion is at the heart of Cycle Therapy. Every child deserves the chance to get outdoors, connect with others, and feel they belong. Our Pedal to the Mental™ Scholarship Program helps reduce financial barriers so more children can experience the confidence and friendships that cycling offers.

Whether a child is just getting started or pursuing racing goals, support may range from a used bike or riding gear to a more comprehensive racing scholarship, depending on their needs and the resources available.

Applications are reviewed quarterly. Assistance is considered based on available equipment and funding, and submitting an application does not guarantee an award.
